  • What is a laser?

Our answer for smarties: Laser is the abbreviation for "Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation". But it can be explained more simply: A laser is basically nothing more than red-wave light that can be focused on the smallest of spots depending on the wavelength - for example, on tiny hair roots.

  • How does permanent hair removal work?

When you move the laser over the skin, it emits light. The light emits energy, the energy is converted into heat, and this heat destroys the hair roots so that they can no longer grow back. This means that the hair is permanently removed. That's the short version. More details? No problem. But then we throw around terms like melanin and protein denaturation.

  • What is the difference between laser and IPL?

There are two ways to permanently remove hair, laser and IPL. Both work with light, but:

  • Which areas of the body can be depilated using laser?

No matter where the unwanted hair is: If it's not possible, it's (almost) not possible. We laser the face, neck, arms, armpits, shoulders, chest, stomach, back, legs, bikini, intimate area, buttocks, feet and toes. Mucous membranes, body orifices, eyes and scalp are taboo.

  • Which skin and hair types can be lasered?

Oana for everyone: Our laser adjusts to all skin and hair types. Or rather, we do it naturally. Generally speaking, very light hair is a little harder to remove.

  • How many sessions are necessary?

Good question, important question. Unfortunately, there is no standard answer. Everyone reacts differently to permanent hair removal, and the part of the body, skin and hair color, number, density and thickness of hair also play a role. But experience shows that around 8 to 10 sessions are necessary, always with a few weeks in between.

  • How often should I schedule my appointments?

You should plan your sessions at intervals of 4-8 weeks depending on the area, because hair has a different growth cycle depending on the area.

  • Why are multiple treatments necessary?

Because not all hair is the same. Hair goes through continuous growth, transition and resting phases. However, you can only remove hair in the growth phase using a laser. That's why you have to go back every few weeks to get the hair that is now in the growth phase. The hair gets thinner with each session and this is clearly noticeable even after the first session - a smooth process.

  • How long does a session last?

An appointment during your lunch break? No problem. You don't need to plan a lot of time for a session with us in Regensburg. 5 to 15 minutes is realistic, depending on the size of the treatment area. Our laser can even treat larger areas like the back in no time.

  • Is the treatment painful?

Does permanent laser hair removal hurt? Go on! Most people describe the treatment as gentle and painless. Unlike other devices, our laser has an innovative cooling system that ensures a constant 0°C at the laser head. This works like a small anesthetic without any injections.

  • How should I behave before the laser treatment?

It's not difficult. Basically, you should avoid anything in the days before that can stress the skin, such as sunbathing or peelings. You can find more detailed information on how to behave correctly before the appointment here (> What you should consider before the treatment) and of course also in the information sheet that you receive beforehand. ☺️

  • What should I pay attention to after vaccination?

We recommend waiting at least 14 days from the day of vaccination until your next laser appointment, as we cannot provide treatment during this period.

  • Are there any side effects?

Permanent hair removal using lasers is a tried and tested method and is not harmful to your health per se. We also only allow qualified staff to work on your skin.

  • When should laser treatment not be used?

Caution! There are a number of contraindications where laser treatment is not possible. These include:

  • Is laser hair removal really permanent?

Yes, although permanent sometimes does not mean forever. There are many inactive hair cells in the skin that can only start growing at some point in the future. Hormonal fluctuations or pregnancy also play a role. But once the hair has been lasered, it never grows back.

  • Are the hairs gone immediately after laser treatment?

No, it doesn't happen immediately, but it happens really quickly. The hair falls out on its own within two weeks after the treatment. There's no point in pulling at it.

  • What are the chances of success?

There is no 100% guarantee of success for permanent hair removal. Success depends on many factors: the pigmentation of the skin, the thickness, density and color of the hair, the depth of the hair roots, genetic or hormonal changes, etc.

  • At what age is permanent hair removal possible?

We generally only treat people over the age of 18. The reason for this is that treatment should be delayed until the end of puberty and thus until body hair has fully developed.
